Ilka Parent from Minds-n-Motion and I have known each other for many years. We have worked on several projects together. Some time ago we announced a collaboration between MiMer Centre and Minds-n-Motion, with MiMer School offering Minds-n-Motion’s pEATT model (psychodynamic equine assisted Traumatherapy) Module 1 and 3 online.

During our months of recording and at times re-recording our online trainings, we realized the similarities and decided that it would really serve our students – YOU - and by extension also clients and horses to combine and conjoin our trainings: allowing for greater access for a larger population group and overcoming some limitations of being a smaller educational organization. Making it possible to reach more people with both our own and our respective organization’s competencies, skills, knowledge, and experiences.

MiMer Centre’s educational program EiT/L “Equines i Therapy and Learning programs” and Minds-n-Motions program pEATT – “ Equine Assisted Trauma Therapy with a psychodynamic perspective – are now both part of one training curriculum, leading to either a certification in the pEATT model or an accreditation as trauma-informed health care provider - and optionally as a TS-EAM facilitator and/or a Rewilding facilitator.

Conjoining our trainings in this way makes absolute sense. It makes it possible to reach out with what we are passionate about, trauma informed equine assisted interventions, whether you work trauma sensitively with e.g. mindfulness or you are a licensed trauma therapist working with trauma confrontation - and want to include horses and equine assisted interventions in your work, where the horse is an equal team member and horse’s welfare is an important key component working ethically (and trauma sensitively).

If you have any questions about what the certification process entails for becoming a certified pEATT provider or an accredited MiMer facilitator/trainer – reach out to This email address is being protected from spambots. Conjoining our trainings like this is a rather big process in itself, and it will take us some more time to have everything fully integrated. If you are a former student with any of us and want to continue your training with us – or if you are in current trainings with us – in any of our “old systems” – there will be individual solutions offered to you. MiMer’s Level 1-3 online trainings will be open the year out during 2023 for you who prefer to finish what you have started in that. From January 15 we are not taking any new sign-ups for any of the levels of EiT/L Level 1 or 2, or the bundle option for Level 1-3. For those of you who have taken EiT/L Level 1 and 2, the new level 3 will open up January 15 (you will get the “old” Level 3 material, + new material + you will recognize the material from level 2, which you will not have to retake – but you will get new angles on it, through the material that is new to you).

After 2023, the conjoint training will be fully in place and all the old Levels of EIT/L will close.

I am very happy with the hard work Ilka and I have done to piece all of this together. Both our trainings, pEATT and EiT/L have been/are VERY rich and extensive trainings on their own, for many years. Together they are a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to be working in truly trauma informed ways in their equine assisted work. This new curriculum, with its 2 optional pathways – is a very comprehensive education, whichever pathway you choose.
